My name is Ms. Katie Ann McConathy and I was born and raised in East Ridge, TN. I graduated from East Ridge High School in the Top 10 of my class in 2004. I later graduated magna cum laude from Chattanooga State with my Asociates degree and magna cum laude from TN Tech University with my Bachelor's in Education. My first major was broadcast journalism because everyone always told be I was born to be on TV. I think it may have something to do with my sense of humor.
My next endeavor was chemical engineering because I have such a love of science. I soon realized that no matter what major I chose, I enjoyed teaching it to others more than doing it myself. So that is how I got to where I am now.
Most of my free time is spent with my parents, sister, fiance, and god daughter. My family is very important to me and so I try to remind them of that on a daily basis. I love to curl up with a good book or watch a good movie or catch an afternoon nap every now and then. I am super excited about this year and have high hopes for achievement both for myself and my students. I look forward to getting to know you all and can't wait to get the year under way.
